Theme: Managing Risk in the Global Supply Chain
LogicTools, a Division of ILOG, is seeking case studies and success stories for its upcoming symposium, Managing Risk in the Global Supply Chain, to be held September 27th, 2007 in Chicago. Material for all practitioner levels and industry backgrounds will be accepted.
Event Overview:
Industry trends, including outsourcing, offshoring and lean manufacturing that focus on reducing supply chain costs, significantly increase the level of risk in the supply chain. At the same time, a number of leading companies have been successfully transforming their supply chains into robust and resilient supply chains. In this symposium, we will:
- examine sources of risks in the supply chain
- identify strategic and tactical strategies that help manage risk while creating value and improving supply chain performance
- report on case studies that illustrate the impact of these strategies.
Providing examples from a variety of industries, this symposium will show how product design, network modeling, information technology, procurement and inventory strategies are used to build flexibility and redundancy in the supply chain.

GUIDELINES:
LogicTools will not accept presentations in the form of commercial promotional material for a business or product.
Presentation format can be a white paper, a slide/PowerPoint presentation, or a combination of the two.
Presentation length: 30 minutes followed by 15 minute time slot for questions.
IMPORTANT DEADLINES:
- Email a 500-word (max.) abstract of your proposed presentation by Friday, June 22nd, 2007.
Please include a short presenter bio (maximum 100 words); jpg photo optional.

- If selected, your completed presentation will be due by August 1st, 2007.
