LogicTools Continues to Grow and Prosper in 2005

Chicago - July 6, 2005: LogicTools, a leading provider of supply chain planning solutions, announces another banner quarter. The company continues to increase revenue and add new clients to its extensive list of users.

In Q2 2005, LogicTools had a record quarter with revenue growing by over 100% compared to Q2 2004 and over 65% of revenue coming from software license sales. The company showed a strong profit which will allow it to continue investing in expanding its market leadership in strategic supply chain planning.

LogicTools added 15 new clients in the first six months of 2005 further expanding on the chemical, CPG and retail verticals. Many customers, encouraged by the success of deployments of LogicTools technology in the US, have been spreading the use of the software globally -in markets such as Argentina, Brazil, China, Malaysia, UK and Eastern Europe, to name a few. All the major consulting companies have expanded their use of the LogicTools suite in their engagements, most notably Accenture and PRTM.

Many customers have been purchasing the LogicTools suite and creating supply chain planning teams focusing on LogicTools technology, for example, Cabela’s and Del Monte. The LogicTools suite includes LogicNet Plus®, for supply chain network design, Inventory AnalystTM, for inventory positioning and optimization and LogicChain®, for multi-site production sourcing. Companies typically purchased either a combination of the suite products or the entire suite, deploying in many cases site or global licenses.

"LogicTools continues to thrive in 2005 due to our ongoing focus as well as market acceptance of the benefits of commercially tested supply chain optimization technology," said David Simchi-Levi, CEO of LogicTools. "Whether optimization is used to make decisions on facility location, asset allocation or inventory positioning, these technologies are now recognized for their extremely high returns and benefits."

In May 2005, LogicTools expanded its long term relationship as an SAP software partner for supply chain network design by completing the certification for Powered by SAP Netweaver for Inventory Analyst. LogicTools also participated in the SAP SCM display at Sapphire 2005 in Boston and was represented by General Motors on the Inventory Optimization panel.

LogicTools will celebrate its 10th anniversary at its annual symposium and user group in Chicago on September 22nd and 23rd. Speakers from companies and organizations such as 3M, Accenture, Cargill, SAP and the U.S. Army will headline the discussion on the use of technology to improve supply chain performance.
