Ryder Selects LogicNet® Software
Software expected to increase supply chain planning proficiency |

MIAMI, April 13, 2000... Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE: R), a leader in logistics and transportation management solutions worldwide, announced today that it has signed an extensive software licensing agreement with LogicTools, Inc., a leading developer of strategic and tactical planning software .
"Adding LogicNet has helped us excel in delivering robust solutions to our clients and has significantly reduced turn-around time on strategic network design projects," said Ryder's senior vice president of Client Solutions, Gene Tyndall. "LogicTools has not only provided us with a great decision support tool for supply chain design and analysis, but also expert support and superb responsiveness to our needs," he added.
Ryder selected LogicNet to strengthen its capabilities in strategic planning for integrated logistics and supply chain management. The process entailed several months of surveying various products in the supply chain software market as well as rigorous internal testing by Ryder's Network Design Group, led by senior logistics project manager Bill Kincaid. Once the product selection was narrowed, LogicNet was utilized on numerous internal projects over the course of one year. Several of the feature-specific tests included logic-testing, ease-of-use and solution effectiveness.
