LogicTools CEO to Present at SAP Insider
|
Chicago - February 8th 2005: LogicTools, a leading provider of supply chain planning solutions, announces that its CEO, David Simchi-Levi will present two talks at SAP Logistics and Supply Chain Management 2005 in Orlando, Florida. This event, conducted by the publisher of SAP Insider, is the definitive event for SAP logistics, procurement, planning, scheduling, manufacturing, and supply chain management and will take place from February 28th to March 2nd.
LogicTools is an SAP software partner and will be exhibiting in booth 509 at the event. David Simchi-Levi, LogicTools' CEO and professor of systems engineering at MIT will present two sessions. The first session on Monday, February 28 from 2:45pm to 4:00 pm will focus on “How to ensure your business processes and technology investments work together to improve supply chain performance.” This session shares expert advice on how to integrate technology investments and business processes to achieve supply chain goals and realize desired improvements. It shows why companies that attempt to apply technology as a quick fix to organizational problems or poor business processes without addressing the root cause of the problem often wind up with negative ROI on their solution investment.
The second session on Tuesday, March 1 from 10:00am to 11:15 am will focus on “Save time, money, and resources with a global approach to managing and optimizing your supply chain”. The presentation will describe a new approach to positioning inventory in the supply chain in a way that increases service levels and reduces inventory liability costs. The focus is on replacing the traditional approach for inventory and supply chain management, which is based on locally optimizing decisions, e.g., inventory levels, within one facility, with a globally optimized supply chain strategy.
David Simchi-Levi will also be available for “Ask the Experts" on Monday night, February 28 from 5:30pm to 7:00 pm. During this time, attendees can come and sit with the "expert" of their choice to ask questions about their projects and receive more information about some of the material presented in his session.
