Edith Simchi-Levi Vice President of Operations
Co-founder and Vice President of Operations. She has extensive experience in software development and numerous consulting projects in logistics and supply chain management. She co-wrote Designing and Managing the Supply Chain and other publications related to supply chain management and e-business. She received her B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Tel-Aviv University.
David Simchi-Levi, Ph.D. Co-founder of LogicTools and ILOG consultant
Co-founder and former CEO of LogicTools and Professor of Engineering Systems at MIT. Professor Simchi-Levi has won awards for his work in supply chain, logistics, and transportation. He has consulted and collaborated extensively with private and public organizations. He is co-author (with Julien Bramel) of The Logic of Logistics, published by Springer in 1997. His new book, Designing and Managing the Supply Chain, co-written with P. Kaminsky and E. Simchi-Levi was published by Irwin/McGraw-Hill in August 1999. The book received the Book-of-the-year award and the Outstanding IIE Publication award given in 2000 by the Institute of Industrial Engineers. Professor Simchi-Levi received his Ph.D. in operations research from Tel-Aviv University.
Michael S. Watson, Ph.D. Director Pre-Sales
Director Pre-Sales. He has consulted on numerous network design projects in many different industries. This experience ranges from completing network design projects to teaching consulting firms how to build a network design practice. He is co-author of the article "Defining Perfect Distribution Channels" published in the April 2000 issue of Parcel Shipping & Distribution magazine.
He completed his Ph.D. at Northwestern University in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences, specializing in production and supply chain management. He has worked for IBM as a management consultant in their Logistics Practice. He is adjunct professor at Northwestern University in the Master of Engineering Management program.
Derek Nelson Product Marketing Manager
Derek Nelson is Product Marketing Manager for the entire suite of LogicTools Solutions. He holds a M.S. in Operations Research from Cornell University and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and Management Science, Magna Cum Laude, from Northwestern University.
Dan Vanden Brink Director Professional Services
Dan Vanden Brink is Director of Professional Services. He has extensive experience in supply chain planning and familiarity with a number of software products. He has performed many roles at SSI/Orion consulting, from consultant to account manager and finally director of the group building it up to 50 people. He has also worked at US Robotics and ITT Industries in Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing roles. Dan has a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University and MBA in Operations Management form Illinois Institute of Technology. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in Operations Research with his dissertation focusing on Capacity Planning and Decision Theory. Dan also serves as Adjunct Professor at Illinois Institute of Technology’s Stuart School of Business teaching classes in Operations Management, Strategy, and Supply Chain Management.
